DATFUNK

Datfunk BAND redefines the concept of a classic organ trio, creating a wild, brilliant fusion of soul, funk and afro beats.

Since forming in 2009, the trio has created a funky institution pioneered by the likes of Soulive, Stevie Wonder and Medeski Martin & Wood.

A band that effortlessly blends music elements while keeping high on the tempo. Playing original music as well as re-arrangements, they always leave room for improvisations and make sure to give grooves that don’t quit.

They have been a house band in several venues in Athens, while they toured around Greece and
participated in festivals in Europe.

Currently, they perform in Athen's most important jazzclub, Afrikana, playing there every Friday.
The album "Stepping Up", in collaboration with saxophonist Reiner Witzel, was released on October
2016.
