HERAKLIS ELECTRIC

Heraklis Iosifidis began studying classical guitar in 1992 at the Municipal Conservatory of Thessaloniki with A. Petmezas and continued at the Music College of Thessaloniki with Stergios Zygouras until 2000, reaching the advanced level class. He has taken vocal lessons with Maria Thoidou and Vicky Almatzidou, as well as Byzantine music lessons with Eleftherios Georgiadis at the Music College of Thessaloniki.
In 1996, he started studying double bass with Alexandros Adamopoulos, principal of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra (TSSO), and continued at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Eugenios Politis, principal of the municipal orchestra, where he received his degree in 2003 with highest distinction. In 2005, under the guidance of Heraklis Soumelidis, principal of the TSSO, he obtained his diploma with the highest honors.
On April 20, 2003, he participated in the string competition of the Alumni Association of Northern Greece Conservatories, where he won first prize. He has actively participated in double bass masterclasses with Yarma Katrama, Duncan McTier, H. Weber, Panagiotis Kapogiannis, Tasos Kazaglis, Christos Komisopoulos, Vasilis Papavassiliou, and Petia Bagovska, as well as viola da gamba seminars with Nima Ben David and Andreas Linos.
He has performed with the orchestras of Serres, the Municipality of Kalamaria, the Youth Orchestra of Thessaloniki, and the Municipality of Thessaloniki. From 2003 to 2009, he worked as a double bass teacher at the Music Schools of Thessaloniki and Serres. He has also taught at the Matsigos and Lydiko Conservatories.
In 2022, he worked as a musician at the Creative Activity Center for People with Disabilities (KDAP for AMEA) "I Zoi" ("Life"). For the past 20 years, he has collaborated with elementary school associations, teaching recorder, mandolin, and guitar/singing classes.
He is the founder of the group Cheilia Louloudia ("Lips Flowers"). Since 2006, he has had an active presence in the recording industry with several bands. He has collaborated with Giannis Palamidas, Giorgos Karras and Asklipios Zampetas (from Trypes), Giannis Nastas (Xaxakes), May Roosevelt, Andreas Konstantinou, 2L8, Semeli Tagara, Christos Zachos, and others.
