ELENA & MARSELA DUET

Marsela Bassiou (cello) and Elena Lazaretou (piano) are a duo that share the joy of comunicating through Music.

They have performed in many concert halls in Greece and abroad and several Greek composers have dedicated their works to them.

Their solo and chamber music career is based on Classical music, but their love and passion for variety and versitality has led them to also perform great works from many different genre like Opera, Musicals, Soundtracks, Latin songs and Tangos.

In the last years they have been "exploring" the traditional music of European and American countries.

Fascinated by the richness of the melodies, emotions and rhythms they have created a program that includes works from the classical era to contemporary and traditional music (Tarantella, Bolero, Habanera, Gavotte, Gigue, Polka, Valse, Czardas, Tango etc).
